1. Choose Your Design

Keep in mind that clear sticker paper does not have a white background, and regular home printers cannot print white. This means any white areas in your design will appear transparent instead of white after printing. So choose an image without white areas.

It goes without saying, your design must be in a PNG format or any high-quality format that supports a transparent background.

2. Prepare the Design for Printing

Now, create a canvas the size of your sticker sheet in your favorite design software. It's better to make several stickers at once to make better use of the sticker paper.

Arrange multiple designs on the canvas, and leave enough space between each design so cutting becomes easy later on. You can also add an outline around your design if you want a clean, store-bought look for your transparent stickers.

3. Load the Sticker Paper

Check the instructions that came with your clear sticker paper to understand which side is printable. This can be a little tricky because the entire sheet is transparent. Different products can have different surfaces; don't assume that either side will work.

Place the sheet into your printer with the printable side facing the right direction. If you are confused which way your printer feeds paper, check the manual or simply test print with a regular sheet of paper first.

4. Print Your Stickers

Once printed, avoid handling the sheet immediately, as the ink may still be wet.

6. Cut Your Stickers

You can use scissors for simple shapes or a craft knife and a cutting mat for more detailed designs. You can also use a ruler as a guide if you're cutting straight lines.

If you added an outline around your designs, cut directly on it; this gives a clean look. If you did not add an outline, you can imagine it around your designs and cut along it. A small clear border around the design will not only make the sticker look good but also give room for errors during the cutting process.

7. Peel and Apply

Now what's left is to peel and apply your transparent stickers.

Before applying the sticker, clean the surface to remove dust, dirt, and grease. Unlike a regular sticker, the surface is visible with clear stickers, so it's important you keep it clean.

Clean, smooth surfaces such as notebooks, glass, phone cases, and laptops generally work well.
